We are absolutely thrilled to have been nominated for the Top Escape Rooms Project again, for the fourth year in a row. And this time, both of our rooms are in the running – Professor Dunstan and Sub Terra!! But what are the awards and how does it work?
Each year, enthusiasts from all over the world can vote for their favourite escape rooms and escape room companies. This year, there is even a category for online escape rooms, which have become so popular during lockdown.
There are two phases to the awards. In the first round, enthusiasts who have at least 200 escape rooms under their belt can nominate their top picks. The idea is that these experienced players have a really good grip of what is out there and are able to judge individual experiences against the general industry standard. Any room with at least 4 votes is then nominated for the next phase.
That’s where we are at the moment. As a tiny company, who create our own experiences, we are super chuffed to be back in the running among the big names. Thank you so much to whoever nominated us!
In the second phase, anyone who has played at least 50 games can allocate their votes to the nominees. Using some clever statistical formulae, these votes then determine the final rankings. The winners will be announced in a livestream event on 18th December, with the full results posted on the Top Escape Rooms Project website not long after.
So fingers crossed, and good luck to all our amazing fellow nominees!
