How long does it last?
Please allow 90 minutes for your experience: 60 minutes for the game itself and 20-30 minutes for the pre-game briefing, debrief and team photo opportunity. As stated in our booking confirmation email, please arrive 10 minutes before your booked game slot.
How accessible are your games?
BSS House is accessible to wheelchair users through the front reception entrance and all of our doorways are wide enough to facilitate easy access. When a wheelchair is in use we recommend a maximum team size of 4 players to ensure ease of movement.
Physical strength and high levels of agility are not required. Sound effects and background music are used to add to the experience and some clues may be delivered by audio. If you have any special requirements then we are happy to discuss these in advance so that we can try to accommodate all players.
Are there any age restrictions?
We recommend a minimum age of 10 years so all guests get the most out of their experience. Any individuals under the age of 16 must be accompanied and supervised in the game room by at least one adult player. None of our games are scary, gory or have a horror theme.
Are all bookings private?
Yes. Once you have booked a game slot it is reserved exclusively for your team.
Where can I park?
Plenty of free parking is available at BSS House on a first come, first served basis.
Will I really be locked in a room?
There will always be a way for players to easily exit the game room at any point should they require to do so. This will be explained during the pre-game briefing.
What if I am claustrophobic?
Whilst we accept that personal experiences will vary, our aim is for players to be so engrossed in their adventure that 60 minutes pass in a flash. Our game rooms are of a reasonable size and have ceilings between 1.9m and 2.3m tall.
Do I need to be a rocket scientist?
Of course not! Our games are designed to be challenging and require players to use a varied set of skills in order to succeed, but with some lateral thinking, a pinch of common sense and (most importantly) teamwork you should go far.
What if I get stuck?
If you do get stuck then your Games Master will provide hints at his/her discretion, pointing you in the right direction while leaving the puzzling firmly in your hands... and even if you don't complete the challenges in time, you'll still have had a fun time with us! If you prefer to receive clues only when requested, please let us know during the pre-game briefing.
Will I need to bring reading glasses?
If you require reading glasses, please do make sure to bring these with you.
Can I take photos?
Unfortunately, it is not possible to take photos or videos within the game rooms as we don't want to spoil anything for future guests. Instead, there will be an opportunity to take team photos in the lobby area after your session.
Can you help us celebrate a special occasion?
Whether you are planning a birthday party, a stag/hen do, a retirement event or something else, our Live Escape Experiences offer an unforgettable way to celebrate and have fun. We could even sneak a surprise into the room for one of your players, so if you have something special in mind just get in touch and we will do our best to help.
Can we bring additional players at short notice?
No problem. You don't need to notify us in advance - additional players can simply pay for their tickets at the front desk when they arrive.
IMPORTANT - please be aware that the maximum capacity of 6 players per room will still apply.
Can we book outside of your regular schedule?
If you can only visit on a Tuesday or Wednesday (when we would normally be closed) we are happy to arrange a custom game slot. Just give us a call to arrange this.
Can I make a last minute booking?
Yes, just give us a call on 07759 185264 and we'll try our best to fit you in.
